Santiago de Chile, 7 de febrero de 2024. El subsecretario del interior Manuel Monsalve, luego de una sesión del Comité de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres (Cogrid) realizada en la noche de ayer, informó que “desde el punto de vista de los incendios en términos generales, en la Región de Valparaíso están contenidos y esperamos su total control en los días que vienen, y para eso están trabajando equipos tanto en materia de aeronaves y como brigadas terrestres”.
Los sectores que aún se encuentran con focos de incendio son Complejo Las Tablas, Quilpué (incendio Lo Moscoso) y Placilla (incendio Tranque La Luz). Estos incendios están contenidos, sin avance y con bajo nivel de actividad, según lo declarado por el subsecretario. Con mayor actividad, pero sin avance se encontraba un incendio en Papudo.
El número de víctimas fatales se mantiene en 131 y sólo se han logrado identificar 35 de estas, un menor identificado y seis por identificar. Además, 20 cuerpos ya han sido entregados a sus familiares.
La noche de ayer, el Cuerpo de Bomberos de Viña del Mar comunicó a través de la radio que daban por superada la emergencia forestal iniciada el 2 de febrero alrededor de las 17:10 horas.
