Ciudadanos y autoridades unen esfuerzos contra la contaminación Odorífera del sector Poniente de Santiago.
Pudahuel, Santiago de Chile, 03 de noviembre de 2023. En el marco de las recientes emergencias causadas por malos olores en el sector Poniente de Santiago, el lunes 30 de octubre de 2023 se dio inicio a la “Mesa Técnica por la Contaminación Odorífera de la Región Metropolitana”.
Esta mesa está conformada por las organizaciones medioambientales Coordinadora Ambiental La Farfana, representada por Mayka Martínez y Bryan Serrailler, Resistencia Socioambiental Quilicura, representada por Rodrigo Vallejos, y Pudahuel Despierta, representada por Alejandro Cantillana Paretti.
También participan las autoridades de gobierno encabezadas por el Seremi de Salud, Sr. Gonzalo Soto, la Seremi de Medio Ambiente, Sra. Sonia Reyes, el Director de Senapred, Sr. Miguel Muñoz, el Director de Medio Ambiente del Gobierno Regional, Sr. Mauricio Fabry Ottem, la CORE Jazmín Aguilar, representante de la Diputada Viviana Delgado y los Concejales de las comunas de Pudahuel, Maipú y Quilicura, Carolina Seguel, Alejandra Sepúlveda y Alexandra Arancibia.
Esta iniciativa intersectorial tiene como objetivo mejorar los protocolos de fiscalización de las empresas y generar un mapa de las fuentes de contaminación odorífera en la región, la construcción de una red tecnológica de monitoreo aéreo (Dron) y terrestre, el mejoramiento de normas y el apoyo en la aprobación de la ley de olores en el Congreso, Boletín 15.326-12. Además, se busca promover la participación ciudadana y fomentar la conciencia ambiental en la comunidad.
