En el momento más álgido del siniestro, asistieron 24 carros de bomberos para combatir el incendio.
Información preliminar habla de que el fuego se habría iniciado en carruseles de carga de cilindros de gas.
Por su parte, la Municipalidad de Maipú instruyó la evaluación preventiva de distintos colegios cercanos al incendio.
A eso de las 15::00 se confirmó que el incendio pudo ser controlado. Se informa que dos trabajadores de la planta de llenado resultaron con lesiones.
A esta hora de la tarde, Camino a Melipilla sigue cerrado al tránsito de vehículos.
